Pour a manageable amount of paint into a separate container and gradually stir in Saltwash powder until the mixture is thick, like cake icing. Start with a small batch and stir after every few scoops. The amount needed varies with the type of paint and the texture you want.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eBrush the mixture on as a textured base coat, lifting the brush to form raised peaks. As the coat begins to dry, lightly sweep the brush over the peaks if you want a softer texture.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLet the Saltwash layer dry completely. Apply a top coat of paint \u003cem\u003ewithout\u003c\/em\u003e Saltwash powder.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAfter the top coat dries completely, gently sand areas where you want the textured base color to show through.
