Fusion Tough Coat | Choose Finish & Size

Protect painted furniture with Fusion Mineral Paint Tough Coat, a clear, non-yellowing water-based finish for surfaces that need extra durability. Choose Matte for a low-sheen look or Gloss for a bright, reflective finish, each in 120 mL or 500 mL. Especially useful over white and light paint colors, where a non-yellowing topcoat helps keep the color crisp.

Choose your finish

• Matte: a smooth, understated finish.
• Gloss: a high-shine finish.
• 120 mL: handy for small projects or trying a finish.
• 500 mL: covers approximately 75 square feet depending on the surface and application.

How to apply

1. Make sure the painted surface is clean, dry, and ready for topcoating. Test a hidden area first.
2. Gently roll or stir the container to mix it; avoid vigorous shaking, which can introduce bubbles.
3. Use a slightly damp applicator sponge or suitable roller to lay down very thin, even coats from end to end. Do not leave thick edges or puddles.
4. Allow drying and recoating time as directed on the container. Clean tools with soap and warm water.

Thick or uneven applications can look cloudy or streaky on medium and dark paint colors. For a darker piece, test first and consider Fusion Stain & Finishing Oil in Natural or another compatible finish suited to dark colors. Do not apply Tough Coat over wax or oil-based finishes.
