Wise Owl One Hour Enamel – Military Bronze

Wise Owl One Hour Enamel Paint in Military Bronze is a self-leveling, durable satin enamel for cabinets, doors, trim, and furniture.

Choose quart (32 oz) or gallon (128 oz). Prepare the surface before painting; Wise Owl recommends its Stain Eliminating Primer for strong adhesion. Screen colors can vary, so review the swatch and project photos.

What it does

This fast-drying acrylic enamel combines color and a built-in protective topcoat in a self-leveling satin finish. Its abrasion resistance makes it a practical choice for cabinets, doors, trim, and furniture, with interior and exterior use on properly prepared surfaces.

How to apply

1. Remove grease, oil, wax, and loose finish. Rinse away all cleaner and let the surface dry thoroughly. Scuff sand glossy or slick surfaces, then remove the dust with a lint-free cloth. Avoid wax-impregnated tack cloths.
2. Wise Owl recommends two coats of its Stain Eliminating Primer. Allow 4–6 hours after each primer coat; after the final coat, allow at least 6 hours or overnight before painting. Cabinets, tile, and floors should always be primed.
3. Stir well; do not shake. Apply at least two thin, even coats using a dry synthetic brush, a suitable short-nap roller, or a sprayer. Keep a wet edge, watch for runs, and avoid repeatedly brushing paint that has begun to set.
4. Allow about 2 hours before recoating, and longer if the coating has not dried. Temperature, humidity, and application thickness affect drying.

Coverage, finish, and cure

Coverage is approximately 400 square feet per gallon, depending on the surface and application. The built-in topcoat means a separate clear finish is generally unnecessary for standard projects. Do not wax over One Hour Enamel. Wise Owl recommends Satin One Hour Enamel Clear for demanding floor or countertop applications, particularly light colors, heavy traffic, or frequent spills; do not use a matte finish on floors.

Allow approximately 14 days for full cure. The name does not mean the finish is fully cured in one hour. Treat freshly painted surfaces gently and avoid heavy wear and prolonged moisture during curing. Do not use clear shellac beneath One Hour Enamel.
