Dixie Belle Patina Paint

Create naturally varied aged-metal effects with Dixie Belle Patina Paint. This metal-filled specialty paint reacts with Dixie Belle Patina Spray to add oxidation and weathered character to furniture, décor, architectural details, and creative projects. Select the metal paint or Prime Start primer and the size from the dropdown.

Metals: Copper develops verdigris blue-green effects; Bronze creates a rich, aged metallic look; Iron produces rusted and weathered iron effects when activated. The final effect varies with the spray and application.

How to use: Prepare the surface as needed. Apply Patina Paint, then use the appropriate Dixie Belle Patina Spray while the final paint coat is still wet to activate the metal particles. Let the reaction develop. Once the desired look is reached, Patina Guard can help protect the finish. Patina Spray and Patina Guard are separate products.

Prime Start primer: Protect metal surfaces before creating a reactive patina finish. This specialty primer helps block the reactive patina layer from affecting the metal underneath. Clean the surface first, shake and stir Prime Start, then apply a coat to metal before continuing with Patina Paint and Patina Spray. Prime Start is only needed when working on metal surfaces.

Sizes: Patina Paint is available in 8 oz and 16 oz for each metal. Prime Start primer is available in 8 oz.
